Will and Meg's late summer wedding was full of what I, as a west coast-er, would consider New England charm. The bride got ready with her bridesmaids at her parents' gorgeous colonial-style home (once belonging to the Adams family!) and the nuptial Mass took place at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Newton, and the we were all back to Medfield for a lovely, outdoor tented reception.
This wedding was so special to me for many reasons. Will & Meg have become good friends of mine since I moved to Boston, and they're the kind of people who just exude joy & laughter. As Meg's sister said in her toast, "whenever Will and Meghan are around, you know something fun's going to happen!" Their wedding day was as full of pure joy & laughter as you could imagine, even despite the endlessly-changing COVID restrictions.
(They were also the first couple to ask me to photograph a wedding - literally before I had EVER shot a wedding! That's a lot of faith to have in your sports photographer friend)
It was a dreamy late summer day with a hint of fall & excitement in the air. The morning preparations were full of laughter and anticipation - W&M have been together a long time! - and the bride's whole family was involved, whether styling hair, shuffling cars around the drive, or handing out cups of coffee. The nuptial Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians in Newton, a gorgeous Roman Catholic church, was reverent & holy. And gosh, it's so incredible to see your friends get married!
