Sean & Madeline's November nuptials were immediately unique because they took place in THREE states! Due to ever-changing 2020 event guidelines, the bride got ready at her parents' home in Massachusetts, the wedding mass was at St Rocco's Catholic Church in Rhode Island, and the tented reception was generously hosted by friends in their large Connecticut backyard. What a day!
I had actually met Sean and Madeline at a Catholic pub crawl (yes) in Boston's North End two years earlier, and we crossed paths several times over the years. I also had the privilege of photographing Madeline's sister Meghan's wedding just a few months prior, and had already been able to get to know Madeline & her family, who are absolute joys. They're the kind of family whose home feels infused with a special grace (and lots of laughter). They're endlessly hospitable and made me feel like family and an honored guest, keeping me fed & cracking up laughing as I ran around with my camera.
One of my favorite parts of the day was driving from the ceremony to the reception - the bride and groom had rented a party bus! They fit their entire bridal party and their combined 11 siblings in the car, blasted the music, and celebrated allll the way from Massachusetts to Connecticut.
